Between engagements, holiday portrait sessions and weddings, my fall seasons are always packed as an Ottawa engagement photographer. Autumn is one of the most-requested times for photo sessions here in Ottawa, and after looking at this Barrhaven engagement session, it is easy to see why! {READ MORE!}

Katie + Matt Engagement Session || Gatineau Hills, Quebec

While getting to know Katie and Matt better during our shoot, I learned that they love to travel, go on walks, and their ideal date or outing is to hit up a patio for a drink (or four!) and then go to a cafe for a coffee. I love the connection they have and definitely resonate with their connection over quality time spent together.

Helena + Devon Cottage Engagement Session || Le Belvedere, Quebec

The first year of your marriage goes by in such a blur. Most couples get the typical engagements taken prior to the wedding, and often a bridal/formal shoot or two, then the wedding day, and then that’s it. Your love story doesn’t end after the honeymoon! Documenting your continuing love in an anniversary session is a special way to capture your lasting relationship so you can reflect back years later and remember the happiness of that special time.

A Fall Camping Engagement Session || Ottawa, Ontario

We decided on a campsite for Mev and Adam’s engagement photos before they had even chosen a wedding date or venue! Priorities people! These two had their hearts set on an outdoorsy shoot, in Ottawa, and it turned out so beautifully. I love it when my couples make their photos unique and personal! Then, to put the icing on the cake, the session ended up happening on Mev’s birthday. What better reason to get all dressed up and celebrate than engagement photos with the love of your life on your birthday?!

Katie + Ron Engagement Session || Constance Bay Beach, Ottawa

Like so many couples this year, Katie and Ron postponed their wedding due to Covid. But, they still wanted to get married, so they eloped! The elopement took place in Nova Scotia where they had a little ceremony on the beach. However, they still wanted to take engagement photos! I love to see how couples have really made the best of a crazy situation, and Ron and Katie are no exception!

Krista + Connor Engagements in Ottawa, Ontario

Can I let you in on a little secret? My session with Krista and Conner was one of my all-time favorites. I know, I’ve said that before. But this time, I literally just had to walk out my back door and into this session. I really love the fields behind my house and I was so glad to be able to shoot a couple there! Ottawa summers are really some kind of magic. We had a beautiful night walking around private, wildflower-filled fields.

Chelsea + Jeremie Rideau Lakes Engagement || Portland, ON

From the moment Chelsea reached out to me, she knew she wanted to have their engagement session at her family cottage on Rideau Lakes. I actually grew up on the Rideau, just a few minutes from her family cottage via boat, so this session was right up my alley! We spent most of our time together down by the lakes on the dock. We all love being by the water so it just made sense!

A Cottage Sunset Engagement || Jamie + Cody

You know when you have something just SO GOOD that you just * save it *? Nope? Just me? It’s like when you find the PERFECT dress and you just save it for the perfect occasion. Or you find a great marker and save it for your next project. It’s when you save something for SO LONG because youre just waiting for the perfect time to let it shine that you actually never get to wear it/share it. That’s me with Jamie + Cody’s engagement session!! I’m so excited to share another session with these two :)

A Backyard Smiths Falls Engagement Session

After they received their gallery, Amanda sent me this message: ‘It's the first time anyone else except for me has seen Garth in his standup chair so it's very special to see. It was also the third time I got to see him in it so I can't even explain how nice it was to just even hug him. I cried the first two times I saw him in it so I'm glad I was able to hold it together.” It was that stop-in-my-tracks kind of moment where I realized I’m doing so much more than just taking photos.

Mont Tremblant Cottage Engagement

What an adventure this engagement session was! I was lucky enough to get to photograph Kyra + Ryan TWICE! Their first engagement session happened last summer but because of COVID they had to postpone their wedding from 2020 to 2021. Because of that, they decided to celebrate their wedding month with NEW photos together because they wanted to continue celebrating their (now extended….) engagement. {READ MORE}

Taylor + Grant Engagements || Blacks Rapids Lockstation, Ottawa

Taylor + Grant had to postpone their 2020 wedding due to COVID. They were very disappointed, obviously, but looked on the bright side and saw it as an opportunity to save more wedding money, meaning they were able to raise their photography budget and hire me! Yay!!

Rachel + Brandon Engagement || Luskville Dragway in Quebec

Rachel and Brandon are the cutest couple. They are the perfect example of “marry your best friend”! These two have both been competitively drag racing since they were very young (he was 6 when he started and she was 13!) and sort of knew each other off and on through the competitions. During the 2018 racing, they quickly hit it off and fell madly in love with one another.
