The desire to become a photographer came to me one summer while on vacation. I binge watched the show “One Tree Hill” and really connected with a character who happened to be a photographer.
She lived by the quote “It’s all about finding the magic in unexpected places” and it struck a chord in me. The next day I picked up the point and shoot camera I had brought on vacation and started my journey.
The decision to focus on wedding and engagement photography came naturally to me over time as I have always been a hopeless romantic and I am a sucker for a great love story.
Upon finishing high school, I completed a 2 year photography program at La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa {yay for being also bilingual!}, where I took my skill and knowledge of photography to the next level before pursuing my career as a wedding photographer!

I shot my first wedding with Chelsea 6 years ago and have been working for her ever since. I have not only learned so much from Chelsea, but she has become my best friend and the big sister I never had.
In the past few years, I have had some amazing experiences being able to travel to New York, Halifax and Mexico with Chelsea for weddings. I absolutely love shooting weddings- the happiness and love that are shared on that day, is what makes my job so incredible.

Hey all! I'm Sandra. I'm an old lady at heart. In my spare time I crochet, knit and quilt under the name Fraid Knot.
I love hanging out with my friends and family outside no matter the time of year. I'm a dog mom to two crazy pups named Luna and Levi and love spending time with them at the park and just lounging around the house. I was born and raised in the Outaouais, so je parle français aussi!
In 2011 I started working for a local wedding photographer as a second shooter and I fell in love with capturing the love between two people. After finishing my degree in photojournalism at Loyalist College, I started shooting weddings on my own in 2013 and continue to love every minute of it.
I love incorporating my knowledge of photojournalism into my weddings. From meeting a couple for the first time and hearing about the plans they have for their special day, to seeing the love between them explode on their wedding day, it makes me so excited!
My favourite thing about photography is being able to tell someone’s story through pictures and seeing things in a way that others may not.

My style is very candid and non-obtrusive. I'm a natural observer, so I love to watch how my subjects interact and capture them in a very natural, honest and uncontrived way. Documenting couples who are crazy about each other is my favourite thing and gives me all the feels. I want to capture those moments when you're lost in each other's eyes or laughing uncontrollably at something he whispered in your ear so you can relive those moments on rainy days and show them to your grandkids one day when your hair turns grey and you're still living out the beautiful, ordinary moments of your love story.
My photography style is very simple, minimalistic and soft which I think compliments my personality well as a fairly quiet, warm and sincere human.
In other words, you can count on me to run the show, but you won't have to worry about me stealing it. Your job is to show up just the way you are, and my job is to capture your moments exactly how they felt. No prom poses. No performances. Strictly real and natural love. I want to create an experience for you and your person so that when you leave the session, you feel even more connected to each other than when we began.
