Mev and Adam are just the best humans and I absolutely adored working with them! Their session was a gorgeous camping-themed engagement shoot in Ottawa, which fit them perfectly ( I think I really won over Mev’s heart when I suggested a camping shoot!). The whole evening was absolutely perfect!

These two have a super adorable love story! Marie-Eve and Adam met ten years ago while working in the same building. In Mev’s words, “Adam was my IT guy. When my computer broke down or Photoshop was exploding into flames, he was the guy to call!” The couple was just friends for the first few years after knowing one another, because Mev kept Adam strictly in the friendzone. Then one day, Mev says “I smarted up and realized that Adam was the best guy ever and I was crazy for not giving him a chance. So on his birthday back in 2011, we got drunk at an Irish pub, kissed, and that was that.” Both Mev and Adam agree that dating each other was the best decision they ever made! <3

We decided on a campsite for Mev and Adam’s engagement photos before they had even chosen a wedding date or venue! Priorities people! These two had their hearts set on an outdoorsy shoot, in Ottawa, and it turned out so beautifully. I love it when my couples make their photos unique and personal! Then, to put the icing on the cake, the session ended up happening on Mev’s birthday. What better reason to get all dressed up and celebrate than engagement photos with the love of your life on your birthday?! We started their session at their camper and eventually made our way to the beach at sunset. The fall colors against a beach sunset was absolutely gorgeous.

Mev and Adam are the kind of people that you just love to be around. They are just so happy and it’s contagious! Their love is so beautiful and simple, which is how love should be. Mev and Adam are the kind of couple everyone should strive to be. It’s been an absolute honor to take their photos! I can’t wait to celebrate at Stonefields Estate with you this June!!!
