Love on the Farm
Most people bring champagne to their engagements. Some people bring their puppies. Others bring their friends. Some even bring their kiddos. Well, are you wondering what Jess + Jeff brought to their engagements? They brought their extremely cute calf (whom I lovingly named Yzma and I really hope it sticks!). This was definitely a first for me!
Jessica + Jeff met at a young age in 4H and when they reconnected several years later, they hit it off quick! They both have a love for farm animals and between the two of them, they have cows and horses. Jeff proposed to Jess at the Glow Christmas Light show at the EY Centre in Ottawa back in 2019. This was perfect for Jess as she is a HUGE Christmas and all-things-sparkly kinda gal. His proposal was short and sweet and perfect.
When they first contacted me, they wrote, “We love your editing and photography styles, which is what caught our eye initially! There is something so whimsical and relaxed about your style which is exactly what we're looking for!”. Well, they sure know how to flatter a girl! I couldn’t wait to work with them!
Their engagement session took place in Lanark County at Jeff’s family farm!. It was very laid back, relaxed, and rustic. The perfect combo! The sun set perfectly in the field below the valley as we ended the session.
2020 was the year for Ottawa backyard weddings! My only question is, how the heck does all my couples have locations like THESE as their backyards?! I’m thrilled to know Jess + Jess will be getting married at this location this summer! The location suited them perfectly!
