A gorgeous summertime wedding

Laura and Josh are just the sweetest couple! You can really see their love for each other through their photos. Being an Ottawa wedding photographer means I always see such pure joy! They had a gorgeous summer wedding at a golf club in Carleton Place, Ontario. Laura and Josh had to change their plans quite a bit due to COVID (date, venue, dress, you name it!), but their day ended up being wonderful.

These two have such a cute love story! Laura and Josh have known each other since elementary school! Can you believe that? They were in the same class in the 4th grade and went to the same highschool. For university, Laura and Josh went separate ways, but eventually reconnected and fell in love. I swear the world always brings people back together if they were meant to be! The pair dated for six years before Josh proposed on February 16, 2019. He took Laura dog sledding because he knows how much she loves animals and proposed while they were on tour!

The Canadian Golf and Country Club where Josh and Laura got married was definitely a last minute decision. Like so many couples this year, these two had to change their plans very quickly due to the Coronavirus. They had to scale down their wedding size and come up with a Plan B, and even a Plan C. Their original date was set for June 30th but because gatherings weren't allowed at that time, they had to push it back to July 25th. They decided not to host a large celebration and just gather with their close family and friends. Laura and Josh decided to live stream their ceremony for guests that couldn't attend.

With even all the last minute changes, Laura and Josh’s wedding day ended up being absolutely beautiful. Their venue was gorgeous! It had a hidden forest where we took their photos and a stunning pond area where the ceremony was held. I loved being able to be a part of Josh and Laura’s big day and I’m so thrilled with how their photos turned out!
