Gabriela + Anders Wedding || Stonefields Estates, Carleton Place
An Intimate Wedding
Does this gorgeous couple look familiar to you? Well, that's because you saw Gaby + Anders last month in their engagements here. Shooting their engagements was a dream, so I was super excited to be able to shoot their wedding as well. It was one of the most beautiful and intimate Ottawa weddings I have ever attended.
Gabriela + Anders got married at Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place. Their wedding was originally supposed to be in July, but because of COVID, they decided to postpone to 2021, like so many other couples. However, after a few months and many Ottawa guidelines dropped, these two decided they didn't want to wait and planned a wedding for TWO WEEKS later! I’m so glad they decided to keep their wedding in 2020 and they are too. It was one of the best decision of their life!
Because these two were getting married in the thick of COVID, they were very thoughtful and cautious about their wedding day. They decided to lower their guest count to an even smaller number than the minimum requirement and they also didn’t have a bridal party. Due to this decision, their weddings was one of the smaller weddings I have done, but that didn't make it any less full of love and happiness! I loved every second of it because it was so personal, intimate and special for those they chose to share the day with!
Gaby got ready with her best friend in the Stonefields bridal house and their ceremony was held in the luxurious white chapel, designed and decorated by The Gathering Co. One of my favourite moments was their first look since they also privately shared their wedding vows together. I loved that idea because it was such a beautiful moment between these two and allowed for a tears + giggles alone!
Another super fun part of the ceremony was that they brought their dog, Azen. During the shoot, Azen was running around and he accidentally pulled the veil right off Gaby's head! But don't worry, no veils were harmed in the making of that photo. Hah!
It was a short day for me as the photographer! I was done after the speeches ended but I felt SO blessed to be a part of Gabriela and Anders’ journey together as they entered the world as newlyweds in these crazy times. It was a beautiful and peaceful day full of love and I was so honored to be a part of it.
