Derek and Francesca’s wedding was EVERYTHING! It was a gorgeous September wedding in the stunning castle of Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. The energy was so low key (which is always a plus) but high key details! Everything from this stunning castle wedding was to die for. A Fairytale Wedding at Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa

Fran + Derek had to plan their entire wedding TWICE just months before the big day. They were originally planning a lakeside resort wedding, but after too many venue problems, they did a 180 on vibes and chose a downtown castle essentially. Fran designed everything herself, from the invites to the wedding cake! She has such an amazing eye for detail.

They did a first look and we did all of our portraits around the Chateau Laurier and Majors Hill Park that overlooks the Ottawa River. The ceremony happened at a nearby church and then we headed back to the Fairmont for sunset photos and the reception. The sunset photos happened on the Fairmont terrace which was absolutely magical! They also practiced their first dance alone before the reception began and that was one of my favorite parts of the day because I was able to capture it all for them in private!
