What Dreams Are Made of || A Rome Engagement Session
Kaitlyn + Mitch
Rome, Italy
I can truly say I have the best career in the entire world. As an Ottawa Wedding Photographer, I have the opportunity to check out the nicest places around the city, but once in a while I have an email that stops me in my tracks.
“We knew instantly that we wanted to run away, and have a small, intimate, symbolic ceremony with 20 of our closest friends and family members. La Badia Di Orviteo has pulled at our heart strings, and we couldn't imagine having it anywhere else.”
I’m sorry.. what? You’re looking for an Italy Wedding Photographer but want to FLY LITTLE OLE ME THERE INSTEAD? Kaitlyn and Mitch stole my heart from their first email, and not just because they have a son the same age as Bentley!
That’s right, I flew to Italy in November to document their gorgeous wedding. As beautiful as Ottawa is, they knew they wanted to have their engagement session in the streets of Rome instead. If you’ve been to Rome, you know how WILD it is. There are literally humans and cars freaking everywhere, so naturally we started our season at 7AM to help avoid photo bombers. Now, I truly believe all I have to say is “this is what dreams are made of” and let you see for yourself, but I do want to give you a little details on the locations as they were so special!
We started beside the colosseum right at sunset and danced into the sunrise, then we adventured to find a side street {which BTW, every single street in Rome is literally picturesque}. After lots of walking, laughs and a few in between espresso shots, we ended things at the Trevi Fountain where Kaitlyn + Mitch tossed a coin to make a wish!
If their wish was to have the best wedding day in the entire world, it definitely came true. Stay tuned to see their detail infused Italian wedding… but for now… this is what dreams are made of, friends.
