Why settle for breakfast at Tiffany’s when you can have your whole wedding at Tiffany’s?! Okay, so this whole wedding may not have happened at Tiffany’s, but with Tiffany blue as the accent color, nods to the brand via the turquoise favour boxes at every seat, and the glamorous venue choice, it may as well have taken place there! This Fairmont Chateau Laurier wedding was a luxe dream.
One of the greatest parts of working as an Ottawa wedding photographer is the opportunity that I have to witness the culmination of various cultures through diverse weddings and fusion weddings. Kajahni and Eric’s two-day wedding is a perfect example of this! These two had a double day wedding, with a Hindu wedding ceremony and celebration on Friday, and a traditional Canadian wedding on Saturday. I was lucky enough to be their Ottawa wedding photographer for both days, and both days were equally beautiful! Today, I’m sharing their Canadian wedding.
Their Fairmont Chateau Laurier wedding was so classic and so stunning! The venue is unbelievably romantic and luxurious, and it provided the best backdrop for the day’s events! The ceremony itself took place in the Adam room, an opulent ballroom with high ceilings, elegant drapery, and incredible details. Kajahni and Eric’s wedding design complimented the space so well.
We then took all of their wedding photos at Majors Hill Park, including the bridal party photos, family photos, and formal portraits! It was so nice to sneak away with the couple to explore the park and capture their happiness. The park offered a beautiful setting for their photos! We took advantage of the terrace, the area with the locks, and down by the water. Some of my favorite photos of the couple show off the venue in the background, because really, is there anything more romantic than a castle for a backdrop?!
I normally bring my couples outside around sunset for an extra set of photos when the lighting is the prettiest, but it was raining like crazy during sunset. We snuck out to the terrace at dusk, after the rain ended, and were able to still capture some beautiful images that were lit by the lights on the terrace and from the parking lot!
Kajahni and Eric are a gorgeous couple, and I feel lucky to have been part of their two equally gorgeous wedding days!
